One of the coolest perks Automattic offers its employees is a paid 3-month sabbatical you can take every 5 years.
Mine just started this week, so I’ll be AFK for all of November, December, and January. I still don’t have much to share, but I wanted to leave a memory on my blog anyways.
When I first joined Automattic, I thought my sabbatical would be full of adventures. Little did I know that five years later, my priorities would look completely different.
What I’m looking for most now is to recharge my batteries and have plenty of free time to enjoy with my family. I have a few trips planned this month, but the goal is to visit some cities we love with the little one; I’m not sure if that counts as an adventure.
