Hello world!

17 years ago, I opened the WordPress admin for the first time to write my first post on a blog I had created with some colleagues from university. After that first one, I repeated the ritual more than 350 times.

It now feels like a real accomplishment to have written more than one post per week for four years. Back then, blogging that much didn’t feel that hard. Online conversations still happened in comment sections, and we weren’t fully trapped inside today’s dominant social networks. The web felt more decentralized, and in a way, more human. I miss that sometimes, even if I don’t think the old web is coming back.

In any case, here I am, in January 2026, starting my own personal blog. It’s something I’ve been postponing for more years than I’d like to admit. This won’t be like the blogs I had back then. I’m not trying to build an audience or keep up with a publishing schedule.

My intention is simpler. I want this to be a quiet place where, from time to time, I’ll put ideas online as part of a personal collection of notes.
