This is not a granola recipe. Today, I want to talk about my favorite AI app: Granola.ai. I’ve been using it for over a year, and it has become a central part of my work stack.
Before note-taking apps existed, I used to transcribe meetings on the fly. I became quite good at it, but it required a lot of energy. The truth is, I really do not like having note-taker bots join my calls, especially when there are several bots from different attendees. That is why I like Granola so much. It does not need to join the call and remains invisible to everyone else.
The best part is how it leverages AI. It gives you a chatbot that can answer questions in real time during the call, like “What did they just say?”, “Have they already mentioned X?”, or “Does Y make sense?”. You can also browse all your past meeting notes and use AI to explore them.
They have also released an MCP, which I am using to connect Granola with Claude. It is very useful when you are working on a document that needs to reflect what was discussed during a call.
